code p0171 is driving me crazy

my check engine light comes on every 3 days or so. same code p0171 every time. ive cleaned my maf plenty of times and ive checked for vac leaks every time with no luck. how can i make this stop? its a new truck (07) not an old junker, i dont want a check engine light on all the time. it runs fine with or without the light but its the priciple. ive noticed it usually comes on when im idling for a while which was the case today. i dont want to spend big money on new o2 sensors only to find thats not the issue. please help.

to make matters worse, 2 days ago i was getting into my truck (has a 9" lift on it) and i grabbed the handle on the A piller to pull my self up and the whole A piller ripped right off and i fell out of the truck. its just one problem after another. going to ford tomorrow for a new A piller. it better be under warrenty.

ya i have a cai, headers, catback, UD pullies, efans and troyer tunes. none of these mods are new tho, all have been there for about a year. i got the code the first time about 4 months ago. i was in vegas for vacation at the time so i went to autozone and got maf cleaner and fuel system cleaner. that fixed it till now. obviously not the maf cause i just cleaned it a week ago and got the code twice since then.

how long between fuel filter changes?

Do you know what size engine is in it? If not, go find out and post it. You won't get very many even bothering with you if you can't so much as post the motor your referring to, - it's pointless.

BTW- A capital letter usually starts a sentence and makes it a little easier to read, IMO.

Its a 4.6L I thought about calling Troyer but the tunes have been on the truck for about a year and a half before this came up so I doubt its his tune. I just did a fuel filter change today and it seemed to make the truck run much smoother. I wasnt even expecting any change so I know its not wishful thinking. I guess we will see in a couple days if the code comes back.
