what a mess

Hi all new to site thank you.
It all started 4 weeks ago I was driving to Oregon and the truck started spiting and missing thought I had a flat had a code P0172 had the truck towed to a Ford dealer and the replaced the fuel injector and the cat converter was in the shop for 3 weeks. On the 5 hour drive home it started again check eng light went on 20 mins from my house. the code now is P2004 new dealer and now they are telling it is not covered the dealer that worked on it before says that it should be any ideas.

I don't have any first hand experience with this issue but from a quick search on here it looks like it will not be covered under the injector warranty. Maybe the first shop broke something will replacing parts or it is just a coincidence?

here are a couple of threads discussing the P2004 code.

Do you or any one know when they changed the injectors if they have to take off the manifold because it seems to be so close to each other it had to be caused by the replacement of the injectors??

In case your unaware-

All 3 valves -2005 model years~ injector warranty was increased to 100,000 miles.

Cat's are under the similar warranty, - I believe it'
s 80,000 miles.

it is 12k and 10 years on the injector they paid for all that to be repaired it is P2004 code (IMRC) stuck open that I'm having the problem with they say it is not covered under my ESP but the dealer that repaired it said they were in that part of the engine so it could have been them that touched it it just seems funny the day I pick up the truck from the P0172 being repaired the P2004 code pops up
