Regarding Bluejay's post about helping with the MAF sensor, I currently have a CAI(Cold Air Intake) hooked up to my OEM MAF housing.
That is how your MAF housing will appear, obviously not exact because Im not using the OEM Intake, but look for that little housing with the wire coming out like that, and of course you will have to take apart your intake to reach the little wire inside. Just get some MAF Sensor cleaner and spray the crap out of it and let dry before reassembling. Hope this helps somewhat(I have a 4.6L).
Also! If you're a new DIY'er then you cant go wrong buying a Haynes Manual or Chiltons, whichever tickles your fancy. It helps tons and explains how to do nearly EVERYTHING you'd ever like too in very nice detail.

Here is a update. The test drive went ok. I did alot of driving the next day and noticed it was still missing. It finally kicked a code. I stopped at a autozone. Code was miss on #5. Bought a set of Motorcraft plugs while I was there. Plug on 5 was cracked. I replaced all the autolites with motorcrafts... Running fine now.
I was getting new tires yesterday and found oil on right rear wheel. So now I get the pleasure of pulling the axles and replacing the seals. 125000 miles. O well needed new diffy fluid anyways.
