They did from what I remember. I thought it said they needed to focus on getting the company stable in the economy before dumping money into that engine.

sooo....i thought this 4.4L was suppose to be a inline 5 or something. how do you TT that?!

i read it was suppose to be a v8 then i heard it was suppose to be a v6 so i dont know. i never heard anything about it being a inline anything.

I'll have to do some research, -is it on the back shelf now? From what I recall , they did build a few for testing. I was hoping for production by 2011.

i havent seen any updates on when production starts, but the last one i did see was back in april or may which said something about them starting production early 2010.

yea my grandad said something about a inline 5 or 6 i was like uhh...ok..and never thought anything about it, everything ive seen has been V8 TT would be nice :drools:

damnit brew you got me wantin one now, maybe when i hit the lottery ill get one AND a raptor

Well, maybe there will be a Raptor Diesel option ? Nahhhh. Now if they Supercharge the Raptor

Yea, I hope they do come out with one with good numbers and no damn sparkplugs. I like the half ton ride and as for pulling - to be effortless as possible lol.

agreed, i like the f150 ride. and yes a SC 6.2 raptor would look nice in my garage

what about a raptor 4.4TT

Most of the rumors surrounding the F150 diesel out there are from a year to 1-1/2 years ago. Read the following on Autoweek.com from an article in May of '09:

"One industry source familiar with Ford's product plans said the diesel F-150 has officially been delayed until 2013. But it will likely be canceled outright unless diesel prices fall substantially below gasoline for a prolonged period, said the source, who didn't want to be identified."
