thats what i was thinkin. wut sucks though is that the light wont stay on it blinks for awhile while the truck is misfiring and then it will go out when it quits and i have hooked up the Ford IDS up to my truck and it recovers no codes at all. Im about to replace spark plugs to see if that helps but i really think that its just a bad COP, but the only way to find the bad one is to catch the engine light on.

I have the 5.4L with no mods on it. Im not really sure how many miles on the plugs but im pretty sure im gonna replace them this weekend anyway. As for the COPs ive replaced cylinder 7 and 4 already due to misfire.

you should replace ALL the COPS. Go to e-bay and search DG508 there are a couple of companies selling them Global Uneek and there are more but those 2 have had several people from this site try them with good results. (I have the globals in my van no problems) You can get a whole set for less then the price of 1 at the dealer.

I had this problem on my 01' and it was a bad COP. I also bought replacementsD(DG508)from Ebay and they worked just fine.
