Motorvac
I've been considering getting a Motorvac service done to my truck. I just changed tranny fluid, oil, plugs, wires, cap and rotor and it's still a dog when taking off. The fuel filter is the only thing I haven't changed because I can NOT get it off. I was just gonna take it to the dealer and have them do it.
My question is, have any of you had a Motorvac Service done on your trucks? Was it worth the money?
Also my fuel mileage dropped from 17-18 to 14-15. That's another reason I've thought of getting it done.

i did one to my old engine and it idled a little better and stopped using oil for about 3000 miles. has anyone hooked a scanner to your truck? check for codes or look at the sensor readings? is yours maf or speed density? if maf then clean the maf and change fuel filter first, a motorvac may be a good idea for you considering how easy you drive it.

About a 2 years ago I put a new TPS and MAF sensor on it so I don't think there's anything wrong with them. I did hook a scanner up to it a few months ago cause my CEL came on and my Oxygen Sensor in bank 2 is bad. I wanna change them all just to be safe though. But from what I understand the second bank shouldn't really effect anything. Could it cause the the other oxygen sensor to go out?

there may be a shop around your area that may do that kind of service. the bad oxygen sensor may be causing part of it. did you ever get the one that was bad? that would be a good place to start if you havent already, you can always get one and if you feel like it you could get the other(s) later on. how many does your truck even have?

ok yea the fronts control a/f ratio and the back one just makes sure the cats are doing their job. you could always do that bg stuff that a few members have been recommending on here. or seafoam through the vac line and a bottle of techron in the gas tank. might help, but the actual motorvac is the best way IMO, it did a great job with mine.

Hey , that was a Ford Dealership that didn't know what a Motorvac Service was ? Well, whom ever it was shouldn't be in the trade.

The BG Service is another good one, I think it's a little cheaper. I'm not sure of the differences ?? Just an induction clean basically. Here's a quick explanation and a coupon lol. -
