Okay i had alot of missing problems and had plugs, timing chain,tensioners,all coils,crank position sensor and both cam position sensors replaced. Oh also new fuel and air filters and tb cleaning. Anyway after all off that my new style 04 still is not running right. Now it has no misfiring but does not have the power it should and worse ,when i accelerate it will start to pick up then fall flat or lag from 2 to 5 seconds before picking up and going. I am about stumped on this ,any ideas will be greatly appreciated. Should i have the fuel pressure checked, injectors what?

 

Maybe your cats are bad. I would have them checked with all the issues you had it could have clogged them. If I got a 04-07 truck I'd get a tuner for sure. They can tune the throttle lag out of them.

 

Thanks for the reply, i will have to check my cats but i am leaning to it being electrical. Oh and the lag is not the regular throttle lag, I can floor it and it will take off fine then then just stops for several seconds before accelerating again. Kind of like i just let off the pedal even though i havent, and this is not during a an up or down shift either. Also i cant get it to throw me a code. Any ideas are welcome.
