help me kill the battery light

I assume my harness or pins are messed up that go into the alternator. You have the bus connector with several wires, and the only by itself that plugs in alternator. My battery light keeps flashing and after I push that harness, it goes away, so I know th eloose connection lies in there... Anyway to find out wath specific wire/pin is for the battery light???

i'd like to kill it.... or fix it....

So it's not a true signal? Your battery is indeed charging? You must have figured that one out by now, -since this has been going on for awhile lol.

I think your on the right track, - you may have to by-pass your original pin out, -they can get loose inside the connector and it's a PITA replacing one wire in that connector, -unless you have a spare harness. That's why jumping the connector might be the only option.

I'm not sure what wire it is ? I may try to find a pin-out for you later if you have no luck. Ask Skully in electrical, he may have one on hand, -I would have to dig around for one lol.

Yea, that's what I thought, you just need to know which wire is feeding. That way you could jump the plug/connector all together, - correct?

I'm not familiar with the exact wire bus you're dealing with (I've owned a Ford for a month now). But on my old Chevy Tahoe (RIP), I know you can slide the jacket back, and carefully solder the pin connector to the wire to make a good connection. Doing that has fixed several problems with window switches etc. for me. Never tried it on the alternator cluster though.
