Engine hesitating . GOT QUESTIONS

OK so heres the run down. 2006 f150 lariat 4x4 Crewcab. 50K miles. So its done this to me a couple times and its much worse when the engine is cold. i pulled out from my house and left and hit the gas, spun out a little because the pavement had a little black ice and my truck starts missing. I can feel it in the throttle and it makes my exhaust cackle when it hesitates Then i get out on the highway just to see and i make the truck go into passing gear and as soon as I do hesitation again. I was going to guess maybe spark plugs, but i have no idea. ANY IDEAS MECHANICS!!!??? Worse comes to worse ill just take it to the dealer, i have a 100k mile warranty on powertrain, but id like to have a maybe a general idea when i go in there, i just hate messing with the dealers sometimes!!

Well i know this wasnt a huge thread, but i think im fixed now. 261 dollars later.... Went ahead and changed the oil since i was there...Replaced fuel filter because it has never been done and the Air filter which looked like it was 30 years old. It was filthy, i guess i drive around on construction sites and get a little extra filth. I also had them go ahead and flush the tranny, i guess thats a thing they like to do at 60K miles. Good as new and i also am getting 16.5 mpgs with my stock wheels. before the maintenance i was at 14 with the stockers...Hmmm. maintanence is good.

What are the changes with a new flash and what do they charge? I have an 07 that has never been back to dealer. I do all of the maintenance myself.
