ok i attempted the suck test as best as I could. I took a old airbrush hose cut it to about 3 feet long. Had to mold it a bit to open up the side to goto the egr. I sucked and sucked and nothing changed. Idle still was hoping around. But the worst part of all this was the smoke coming from the exhaust. The size of the hole on the crossover is much larger then I thought. I stink right now. Truck almost sounds like it has a missfire aswell, but im not getting any other codes but the 171,174 and 401.
This is the part # off the top of the EGR, part # f65-9d475-b4a. Cheapest i've seen online is about $90. Is this as low as i'll be able to find it? There is a ford parts warehouse near me that sold me the DPFE for $85 cash. That was the lowest they could go on that part. Is $85 relatively cheap for the DPFE?

Yea, Valve is bad. $85 for a DPFE wasn't that bad. I was quoted $149 for a DPFE for an explorer once,- from the dealership. You never know what price the dealership is going to charge you for parts. Sometimes their cheaper than everyone else. Never know.
If you want to see a fair price for an EGR valve, -just check Rock Auto. That's the best online supplier as far as price and fast shipping IMO.

$50.79 at rock auto. Im wondering if i goto the ford parts warehouse if it will even come close to that. going to have to see tomorrow. Praying this is it.
Now I have a question, lets say the egr ports on the TB elbow are clogged up. Will there be any increase in oil beeing pulled up the one tube on the drivers side and sucked into the engine? The smoke/exhaust smells like oil/gas. I stink right now while sitting here. Its like I was using a weed whacker or snow blower.

Yea, that closed the valve, -enough. It's under tension to close, but was hanging up inside. It happens. That valve is only meant to open upon command @ cruising speeds to re-burn exhaust gases. Depending upon how you drive, it may not get allot of use. When it finally does, carbon build up can prevent it from closing.
You should still get yourself a new one, -no way to clean those. The diaphragm inside is to sensitive and easy to compromise.

Jbrew, kinda what I was figuring happened. Im still going to get a new one. No way was I trusting the one there now even if it seems to be somewhat working. Its amazing though, how the truck drives now. The exhaust tone is totally different, no smell of gas/oil mixture when starting cold, no puff of smoke, smooth idle. It's so dam strange what this little piece of metal could do.
