Was your truck running OK before you tried the "throttle calibration for EFI" in that other thread?

yeah i came out of class, did the throttle calibration thing and then it immediately started acting up. I at first thought the recalibration caused it but a few others on here said no, but who really knows, seems weird it never has given me any problems or intermittent symptoms, warning signs until i did the recalibration. if the recalibration caused it, no biggie tho, guess mine isnt responding as well as everyone elses truck.

Sounds to me like it messed up your TPS somehow. Just a guess, though. That is why I haven't tried that Calibration method. My truck (99 F150 Ext cab., 4.6 V8) runs just fine as it is, and I didn't want it screwing up something on my truck.

Good luck and please post the remedy when you get it resolved.

Thanks,
David

could be the tps just towed it to the shop, they charge 77 bucks an hour labor. talk about pita. the tow truck guy told me it very well could be the tps, and i know i shoulda prob replaced that along with the iac, dpfe, and fuel filter when i changed it who knows how the mechanic is gonna hurt my wallet, pisses me off i had so much $ saved for alot of things to do like get my exhaust finally done and new plugs but looks like i may just b able to install exhaust.

One other thing you might check is the vacuum hose that attached to the back of the throttle body to the passenger side valve cover. I had a idle problem ( not related to the IAC) that was driving me nuts. I figured it had to be a vacuum line issue. When I pulled off that particular vacuum line I noticed cracks that I hadn't seen before on the end that attaches to the throttle body.
Bought a new one from Ford and the problem went away.
