02 Exped 5.4L 2V to Navi 5.4L 4V swap. Info please.
I am looking into this swap. Trying to get info before I buy parts and do the whole swap thing.
It is a 02 Expedition with a 5.4L 2V/4r100 with a 9.75" LS rear diff and a 8.8" LS front diff with 3.55 gears. 216995km on the clock. I was wondering how hard a Navi 4V engine would be to swap in? I have the right trans and stronger drivetrain that matches the Navigator. But what engine harness/pcm do I use? Do I need the Navi cats y pipe? Will that bolt to the rest of the Expedition exhaust system?
The other thing I heard I can do is put the heads from the Navi 4V onto my stock 5.4L. Is that a huge parts swap list?
I have so many questions but little answers. I saw the 02blackepy swap but that was bolted to a smaller trans and stuff and a suppercharger was used. But I did not see much about the swap into the Expedition and what went wrong if anything.
Thanks for the info and help.

I'm curious how many times this same question is going to be asked this week? month, year, etc?
I understand you're new and all, but when someone is asking the same basic question and you ignore that thread to start your own makes me think twice about offering up information
#1 you need the complete navigator engine, engine wiring harness and exhaust manifolds / mid pipes
#2 you need a custom tune to make it work right
#3 you need to use your current expy oil pan and oil pick up tube
#4 use the navigator torque converter or do the smart thing and buy a better one than the crappy stocker
