I have the exact same truck, and there is no way I'll ever see 18 mpg, never mind 22!
Are you sure there isn't something wrong with your calculations.....I find it very hard to believe.
But, if you did get that good of mileage, congrats!! (Maybe silver is more aerodynamic then black!)
What kind of mods do you have?

I got 19.5 mpg on the way back from Steamboat Springs, CO to Colo Spgs. All mountain driving about 5-7 mph above speed limit. Got 17.5 going up there in high winds. 4 mountain passes each way. Got 20.5 on a trip to Denver and back. This with a 5.4l 4x4 and 245 tires. Just turned 4k miles this moring.

On a recent trip to Philly, from CT, I got 22 mpg, going 75 mph with the A/C on. I've got a Superchip, a spintech muffler and a JL, ram air. Thats it!! Auto with 3:08's , I went 228 miles on 10.6 gallons. coming home, going 85mph A/C, and with more city driving I averaged 18 mph. Normally I see 16-17 around town.

How much sense does this make, I had a 99 F150 Standard Cab V6/auto/3.55 I never saw over 15mpg. Even on a trip across country where I set the cruise at 75 and ran till I was ready for a fillup never touching the brakes or slowing down (driving at night). The V6 was terrible for pulling my boat so I got a 2k Supercab 5.4/auto/3.55 and I get about same city and more mpg hwy. Most I have seen is 19, but its usually 16.5 to 17. Im starting to think there is very little if any mpg diff in the motors.
