Wiring harness question -

just changed the oil in my XLT 99, 4.6L

when pulling the oil filter, i noticed a second connector that splits off from the harness near the connector for the oil pressure switch .

never noticed it before. can't seem to locate where it goes.

had a shop change my oil last time because i was preping it for a road trip so i am not certain if this is for optional equipment that my model does not have or if the shop left something disconnected.

no CEL's or other trouble that I can recognize.

anyone know what this connector is for?
cannot locate it in my haynes manual.

Thanks,
Richard

The Haynes manual doesn't make any mention of it. Maybe some with more experience will chime in.

It's a Electronic Variable Orifice (EVO) connect. In other words, a steering assist connector.

Yea, don't worry about it - it's nothing for that model. Some Expys and Navs had that set up.
