Yep - I've found that after about an hour, it's good to go...

Maybe my injectors are leaking

do you do the throttle body with the truck running?

I was thinking about a sea foam treatment.

Also I understand that the fuel filter is under pressure so what is the trick to doing it so I don't take a gasoline bath?
Seafoam is a bad idea.....use chevron techron instead.....

I think the safer way, if it's necessary at all (and I've personally never had to do it, ever) is to trip the fuel pump cutoff behind the passenger side kick panel, start the truck and let it run until it dies.

wot will disable the fuel pump circuit. A lot easier than getting to the inertia switch and trying to knock the ball off that magnetic cup

Depress the shrader valve on the rail with a rag. If you can't see, use a lighter... J/K unless you don't want your eyebrows

I don't think the 2006 has a Schrader valve.

You can also pull the fuel pump fuse and crank it over for about 15 seconds.
