right next to mine...

Well, they DO exist. There was one sitting RIGHT NEXT to mine at the dealership. I didn't get the bigger motor because the financing rate was higher for even just the little bit more cash. In the row was a 4.2, 4.6, 5.4, then (250) 5.4, and a diesel. All regular cab, long bed, white with NOTHING in them 'cept A/C (texas, duh), plus the basic power package (cruise, steering, brakes, which I think is just standard) with manual transmissions on all of them.

The dealership was the size of $#@()* Delaware, though and I think that had something to do with it. And BTW< I asked and the 5.4 was something a guy ordered then backed out of. Can't believe they wouldn't deal on it for me. @55holes.

Hi Chris, I had to order my truck to get the 5.4 and flairside body style. Hey Cajunfiref150, What is your 1/4 mile mph? 54.68 mph?

About 3 months ago my dad bought a 99 F-150 2wd regular cab Lariat with the 5.4, 3:55 LS, and long bed. Is that a rare combination? If it is neither he nor I had any idea that this combo was hard to come by or not made anymore. He got a great truck that was really taken care of very well by the previous owner. It looked like it had never been used to haul anything, and only had 32,000 miles on it. It looks almost brand new inside and out. He also owns a 97 F-150 4wd, regular cab, shortbed, 4.6. He ordered that brand new and had to wait about 4 months for it.

BTW, I have a 2000 Lightning which of course is a 5.4 in a regular cab, and yes it is more power than any sane person should have, but I am little bit nuts in that way. I want it to be even faster than stock.

I have a Y2k, XLT, 5.4, 2wd, Reg cab, Tow pkg, Short box. White. I just installed a Superchip and an Airaid. What a difference they both make! Very happy with the mods. WELL worth the money spent for both. This truck really gets up and moves now! When I got my truck, the dealer had 4 of these on the lot. All the same.
