Engines Boggs when I accelerate
Since Tuesday, I've noticed that sometimes, when I give it gas, not WOT, the engine boggs down for about 1 second then the sound picks up and so does the acceleration. I always fill up at the same station, and out of the 5000 miles or so I've put on, this is the first time it did that. The tank was practically empty this morning, so I filled up again, and sure enough, it happened again on the highway. The engine was hot, everything seemed fine, it just gave me this gagging sound.
Anyone have this problem? Also, my gas mileage in the last tank TOTALLY sucked! I am sure I did around 50 miles LESS on this last tank. I suspect the gas might have been bad, so I was hoping this new tank would resolve it...

Could be, but I've got 5000 miles on the truck, hard to believe it would go, however, I might have gotten some crap in the tank which might have clogged it.
I checked my superchip and it appears to be in solid, duct tape looks like it didnt move and the 10mm screw appears tight, but I gotta remove the battery to get in there with my cheap socket set, thats the weekend project.

It seems you might have some water in your fuel. Put a bottle of water remover in your tank (when it is nearly empty) and see if that helps.
Also, run some 92/93 octane through it from a different gas station with a cleaner and this should help, if it is a fuel problem.. that is.
Good luck!!

cloaker..................hey bud I have heard of this problem before. You didn't happen to over oil your K&N did you? Thats what happens when you do any way. Its very important not to over do the oiling cause it screws up the mass air sensor. Check it out.

Mlaugh, excellent call! didn't even think of the over oiling. I have not had to oil it yet, it came from the factory, but that is no guarantee that this is not the problem. I was going to pull the k&n this weekend to see if it might be clogged with something, but I'll check the air intake assembly for oil as well! thanks!!
Dustoff, I will definately get some water remover, I had not thought of that as the problem. it can't hurt to run that in one tank anyways, thanks!
It didn't seem to do it this morning, first one since tuesday, so that I hope is a good sign!
On the way home tonite, I will officially cross the 5000 miles mark!!! wOOHOO!!!!
