How do you pull the slack in the throttle cable at the pedal?

I remember some guys using a zip-tie between the cable end and the th. rod.....

HI!... The best way to get the slack out of the throttle cable and cruise control cable is to build a custom adjustable throttle cable braket. This is very easy to do and will on take a few hours to construct using thin flat plate steel and some SS bolts and poly nuts. This is what I did and works great. Still looks factory too.

Neal has a great final solution, but I've got a 5 minute solution. Crimp 2 1/4 ounce fishing split shots between the cable nub and the foot throttle eye. Crimp them hard. There's no slack in mine anymore.

I used the same principle as Winder but I did it with a bolt, nut and a couple of washers so I could simply remove it if I wanted to.

Mine just need about 1/4" tweak. I took 2 brass nuts, hacksawed a slot on them, put them over the cable, and crimped them. This will last much longer than soft metals or zip-ties.
