I have an 07 F150 V8 with 90,000 miles. The truck started shaking at lights or in slow heavy traffic. No check engine light yet. Took it to Ford, they said it was the cam phasers. Took it to my mechanic and he put in new sensors and cylinoids---the day after, the check engine light came on. P0022 is the code---Intake cam position. Still have the same shaking and now have the check engine light. I moved away from local mechanic and now nobody will even look at it other than Ford. People keep telling me they won't touch the Cam Phaser problem becuase it can be an ongoing probelm.

Ford wants $2200 for the fix. I don't want to put that much money into it. Is it safe to drive short distances everyday or am I doing more damage to the engine? I will try the rotella oil and the motorcraft filter and see if that helps.
