Rattling / Grumbling Sound During Downshift
I have a 2006 Lincoln Mark LT 4X4. I had the infamous blender with ice sound that was resolved by repairing the vacuum hose from the iwe solenoid. This was not deep sounding more higher of a pitch and was coming from the front driver side.
Now I have noticed when traveling about 40mph+ when I hit the gas, it starts to rattle a little. This is a deeper sound than before and seems to be coming from center of engine area. As soon as the lower gear engages coming down from overdrive the sound goes away. It only makes the sound between the downshift. Could it be the solenoid still just a deeper sound than before?
*Seems to get worse the hotter it gets outside. Not as loud or noticeable in the mornings but gets worse in the afternoon.
