99 f250 (NOT SD) timing

Ok so where to start, so I have a 1999 f250 3/4 ton (not sd) gas 2wd 5.4 2v with the 4r100 trans I'm am rebuilding my motor after the 1st engine with 365,000 miles and gave out 2nd motor I bought it was supposed to be good but nope, then I sent it off to the machine shop, 800 later it's been bored out to .030 over if I remembered right and now I'm doing the timing so all new high performance oil pump gaskets chains guides and sprockets which is the exact parts that came on the motor (I kept the old ones) so the two black links together on the chain they go on the cam or the crank? High performance oil pump do I need to cut some of the metal from the pick up tube that is covering the mesh filter? And spark plugs since it's bored ,has the tall aluminum intake stock exhaust (for now), what would i gap them at since im expecting more horse power? My goal is to have a relaible truck but moderately upgraded can anyone help me?
