03 to a 97 engin and transmission swap

I have a rolled 2003 f150 it is sound mechanically. And a 97 f150 that runs but has issues I was wondering if it would be possible to make a solid truck between the two and the best way to go about it. Thank you for your time and considerations

What engine and transmission and drive type does each truck have?

(4.2, 4.6, 5.4)
(M5OD, 4R70W, E4OD/4R100)
(2wd, 4wd manual shift, 4wd ESOF)

And which transmissions do they have - 4R70W, E4OD/4R100?

I'm betting the 97 has a E4OD and the 03 has a 4R70W. The 03 engine is PI, the 97 engine is non-PI. Engine will swap over with possibly some sensor and component location issues, but swapping transmissions will be a lot more involved unless the 97 has a 4R70W. Even then, there are significant differences between a 97 and 03 4R70W. The likelihood of the 03 having a 4R100 is extremely slim.

The PI engine has significantly more power than the non-PI, you may want to get a programmer and custom tunes to take advantage of that.
