Evening everyone, i need some advice on what may be causing the dreaded "tic tic tic" in my 01 f150 4.6 v8 supercrew 4x4. Ive replaced o2's, plugs etc etc. I do my own work an in the past I have had issues with #4 spark plug but thats not the one this time. I put a scanner on it at the shop and found plug #6 to be reading over 3000 misfires on the counter.....ok....changed plug coil and connector....didnt fix it still reading the same....no issues with any other plugs...anyone ever go thru this before?

 

check the manifolds for leaks.. my 00 had a tick on the driver side and it was a cracked manifold.
the newer 4.6's (04+) also would tick just before turning a sparkplug into a flying projectile as my truck did a few weeks back.. had a tick tick was going to look at it on the weekend and next day put a lovely dent in my hood where it fired it out at 4800 rpm lol
