Post Aftermarket V6 help

I have a great '97 S/C XL. I truly love my truck. But there is one thing that has been driving me up a wall. There is an alarming absence of aftermarket go-fast parts for my strong, but cylindarly challenged, 4.2L six-banger. Yes, I found the K&N, I breath better now. I installed the Flowmaster 2-chamber, I growl. Headers? They don't exist yet! I talked to the Ford SVO rep at the drag strip in Ennis, TX, and he said they would have them "In six months". That was 2 years ago. I am becoming frustrated beating my head against the "Aftermarket Wall" trying to find parts. Does anyone know a source of supply for headers, pulleys, ignition, blower(roots), etc... for the small, but rowdy, 4.2L ? If the barrel keeps coming up dry, I've got my eye on an 8-cylinder fire-breather that I might be able to shoe-horn in.
I would really appreciate any info.

Superchip should be first on your list!

Question

That's interesting cause the V6's need it the most yet ther V8s get all the goodies.
I haven't done ANY performace mods.
I'm pretty happy with the 5.4L as-is
I paid dearly for it though compared to the cost of a V6

54,

I though that was weird too. Maybe because the majority of the people have V8's.

Mike S: I have the 4.2l V6 also and I am thinking about installing different exhaust. How does yours sound? Does it sound mean?

It's a lot louder, I can hear it nicely when I'm driving. When I let off the gas or downshift, it really growls. I am very impressed with the way it sounds.

Joshman,
I have a 4.2l with a 40 series 2 chamber flowmaster, Mike S is right on the money about the sound especially in the lower gears. It sounds like a beast.
