Question Wetness under bottom radiator hose.

I was crawling around under the truck the other night, figuring out how to easily change the oil filter. I noticed that there was a little wetness under the radiator hose that is connected to the bottom of the radiator on the driver side. There was nothing dripping, but should I be concerned?

thanks.

Is it coolant? I would keep my eye on the fluid level for awhile until you determine where it is leaking from. Check for drips under the truck over the next few days (week). Another good idea is to take a rag and completely dry the entire hose and surrounding area. Take it out and drive it for a while. Then check it when you get back..this will give you a good idea how bad the 'leak' is.

It doesn't sound like an emergency...but something to track down and fix.

Thanks for the suggestions, Dustoff. I'll try wiping it off and checking it after a while. I was underneath trying to figure out the easiest way to change the oil filter... and it doesn't look like there is one.

Same thing happened to me, mine was leaking power steering fluid and it dripped down onto the lower radiator hose. Service guy at Ford said they've had a bunch of trucks come in with the same thing.

Interesting ZRracer--

I will make sure to look for that the next time I am under the truck!
