What is the latest on EGR valve problems. I am starting to have problems again with mine. The vac line unhook test fixes the problem of hesitation at low and constant rpm. Has anyone left the vac line unplugged for an extended period of time and if so what did you do about that annoying check engine light?

 

I've got a 91 and I had EGR problems. My truck wouldnt stay running at start-up since the EGR was running constantly. I disconnected the vaccum line and havent had any problems that I know of. I just put a peice of black tape over mine. Yours might be in a diff. spot. It's been like this for a good 6 months. If anyone is aware of problems this may cause PLEASE POST HERE!!
