My 1997 Expedition is driving me crazy. I just replaced the O2 sensor on the passenger side, now I am still getting the Service engine light. The codes are as followed. P0153, P1151 Ho2S21. I believe that this is the same code that I got before. However I ma not sure. Someone has suggested a bad Mass Air Sensor. Someone has suggested a bad HEGO sensor. I know that the vehicle is running lean.

I am at my witts end. The truck runs like sh#@. Rough Idle, Drinks gas like an alcholic drinking beer!

HELP ME!!!!

I dont trust the dealers. I trust this site more. So help me.

BTW I do have the Airraid and K@N Installed. But the Filter has not been oiled recently and these problems have been going on since I got my new motor installed.

 

You just got a new factory motor?
Take it back!!!!
It should run sweet as a nut with zero trouble, if not, then the mech did not finish the job. If you work on it then any warranty will be void.
On my old windstar they tried to charge me for spark plugs for the new factory motor. I asked the mech/foreman if he would take the plugs from a blown motor for his car? He then mumbled and then installed new plugs. (waste of time 'cause the "new" motor blew its head gaskets at 15000 mile)

I don't know the details of you're engine age or condition, but the codes you list are ego-sensor 1-bank 2. That's the ego closest the engine on the drivers side.

I have a scanner with al the codes. Unfortunately I am on vacation at my parents and forgot my book at home. I'll check back when I get home Friday and see if you've figured it out. If not I'll let you know what the code means. Sorry to hear about your trouble.
