Can You Say Bolt On Performance..!
Well guys , I just installed my K&N F.I.P.K and my PowerAid TB spacer.Well let me just say what a differnce.A week earlier i installed the superchip and with these 3 put together the following changes i have incounterd are awesome. 200 rpm gain , 300miles to the tank aposed to a 260 (25 gal 5.4 L heavy foot) The tires will let loose like a beafed up Mustang at the light. The wistling sound is moderate and sounds kinda cool. Before the new intake and spacer when I just had the chip top speed was 106mph. Also gained by new intake and spacer was a Big Smile , next Headers , any ideas anyone and also what would happen if i took the cats off...?

Now that it breathes in better, this will work well if combined with an exhaust upgrade. Late model cats flow well and it is against Federal law (50-state) to remove them. They can be replaced after 5yr/50k. The biggest restriction in the exhaust is the OEM garbage can muffler (flows 200 cfms approx). A well engineered cat-back system can do alot for the price.

yeah your check engine light will come on, eec v uses cat monitors wich is a good thing, u should take a look at emission levles with cats and without and u will see why it is a good thing that the govenment forces people to leave them on, eec v is more for emmision control than anything, eec v is emision management, eec iv was power train management, besides a cat does not rob as much power as u may think people give then a bad rap because they don't know what they do, just like the air pump, egr valve, etc

Lose the cats, my cats sucked, all four of them. Now it sounds much better, revs quicker, and pulls a little harder. I can feel the difference even more at higher rpms.
I had high flow cats installed, and I am still using all four stock sensors. No check engine light. Only smiles.
good luck..
