Amsoil 5w-30 in, 1-2 MPG +
Switched over finally this last week. After driving about 60% freeway the rest around town, my milage at 1/2 tank was 180miles. Usually I get around 160 miles.
I know it is not real scientific here, but the gains can be seen in MPG. Also it have freed up some HP in the engine. Really helped there in the 4.6.

1997 XLT: 4x4, 4.6 5 sp manual. supercab, 3.55LS. Eagle Series 171 16x8 wheels with 285/75/16 BFG ATs.
1990 Mustang GT. Black, 5sp. Usual mods, about 250bhp.

Amsoil only makes a 100% synthetic 5w30!
They do have a semi synthetic 10w40, but I don't know anyone who uses it since it is only about 30 cheaper than the full syn. stuff.
