I have a 2000 f150, and I want to ad cruise, but I want it to be factory or at least have the buttons on the wheel. I know this requires a steering wheel with buttons. Will my airbag swap to the new wheel. Thanks for info.

 

Check with your ford dealer and/or one of your local auto electronics aftermarket parts sales/installers. It cost me a little under $500 to have the factory system installed in my 2001 F150 XL by an aftermarket installer. That was almost $200 more than the aftermarket system (Rostra) they also sold that I originally wanted to buy.

None of the local ford dealers had the ford parts in stock, & they wanted about the same price as the aftermarket shop (a little more, actually). The unit is still covered under my warranty. I ended up with a leather steering wheel, because that's the only way they come.
