I recently bought a 97 F150 with a 5.4 litre motor. This is my first Ford, so I don't know alot about them. Something that has me puzzeled though is, when I looked in my owners manual, it didn't show me anything about the 5.4L. All it had was the 4.2 and 4.6 V6's. Can anyone tell me why??? Also, I understand this is a 351 engine. How can I find out more about the engine, like Windsor or Cleveland, etc... Any info will be helpful.

 

The 5.4 is actually 331ci, not 351. Its arguably the best motor Ford ever made. It's a completely different animal than a windsor or cleveland. Just search this site or hang out, you will find some info about it.
