Question 1/4 mile times of 5.4L engine?

My question is what would my stock 5.4L regular cab 4x4 run the 1/4 mile time in. Also what about 0-60 to. Thanks I am very much interested to know times of some fellow 5.4L owners. Thanks I appreciate your time.

Maybe that was misleading. I have 2WD not 4WD.

DaveH, your truck is sitting higher all around and it's heavier (4x4, longbed)so you would be hard pressed to break that time, stock.
My best time was in optimum conditions,
temp mid-sixties, 168 feet above sealevel.

Don't know how your elevation would compare.

I didn't remove the tailgate or spare. Didn't cheat in any way that I know of. The Line-X was sprayed in, that's extra weight. I had about 1/4 tank.

(maybe I did cheat, I launched at 36 seconds into ZZ Tops La Grange, that gets me really pumped to stick my foot thru the firewall)

DaveH,

I would guess 16.50 to 16.80 @ 82.5 mph. O-60 would be about 8 seconds.

Guys, it does make me feel good that you think that time is bogus. It's much better than saying my time is slow.
A lot of Lightning boys develop a complex, wondering what could be wrong with them/their truck when their times don't fall into line with other Ls.
I have seen very few non-lightnings post track times and even fewer non-L's fewer post times with no mods.

I'm in high cotton til somebody else takes their truck to the track. hint, hint

JMC, that hurt.

I have a '97 4.6 and just got a G-tech pro data recorder that records 1/4 mile, 0-60 and a few other things. I won't be sure how accurate it is until I actually bring my truck to a track and compare the times, but it said my horsepower would be right around where I estimated (250-255hp at flywheel). With the few mods I have on my truck, my best time was a 16.7. I could probably do better, but I've only really got on it twice from a stand still.

Dynomax headers
