try K&N OIL FILTERS i agree on the mobil 1 10w-30 synthetic i am going to run it in mine because i think the 5w-20 is too thin, even tho it's called for in my truck. not scared of losing warranty because i figue I'll lose it anyway with the mods i'm adding.

Faster lubrication on cold startups when a very large part of the wear on your engine occurs, That's the upside to the 0w30. Ford has recommened 5w30 until the 2001's, now 5w20. 0w30 is popular here for the cold startup benefits.
My choice in an oil filter - the Purolator Pure One. (The motorcraft filter is basically a pure one case with the regular purolator filtering material instead of the Pure One's stuff.)

Thumbs up

JohnVH,
Mobil-1, Puralator PureOne, and K&N are the three best oil filters in my opinion. Use which ever you can find. Amsoil is one of the best too, but Amsoil products too hard to get--usually have to "mail order" unless a store in your area carries them, which that is rare(at least where I live).

don't worry SO much about the weigh of oil--It's Mobil-1, so you know it GREAT stuff!!

Hey Pat, I'm moving to Virgini Beach, I will come down your way and set up a few stores, so you can purchase Amsoil

Oh I forgot, I would use the 0w30 because of the better start up protection, also has plenty of protection when hot, since it is a w30. You would be supprised your fuel savings, reason is that the engine is more effecient when you are starting out. I switched to it in my Jetta and mpgs went of from about 40-42, to 45 this winter.
