Rice burners

Rice burners
To those ladies out there driving rice munchers, better you than me. Driving a "full size" toyota truck is like riding a honda motorcycle. What next, our Army's berets will be made in China? Gotta go Harley, and Ford baby. If I lost my job, GM, but never a rice burner or Dodge.

I'll start it off...
When GM, Chrysler or Ford can make a decent car (not truck), I will buy one. I have owned lots of North America cars in the past and they have never measured up to the rice burners. Don't even get me started on the POS Intrepid that Consumer Reports recommended - then changed their minds after I bought mine.
When Harley makes a decent sporting motorcycle (yes, I know about Buell), I will buy one.
Every time I buy a new vehicle, I look at North American first and every time I am disappointed (Ford & GM trucks excluded).
Add to my signature: 1993 Acura Integra, 1991 Kawasaki Concours.

I've got to agree with Ian N on the Harley motorcycles except I'll add when Harley make a decent watercooled sportbike I'll seriously think about buying one. The VR1000 is a nice bike but who has the $45,000 for a sportbike that is not legal to ride in the U.S. on the street. For my street bike now I own a Suzuki RF900.

You had to go and bring Harley into this! lol. They are quality bikes finally. And I like the idea of paying 16000 for one and in 5 years still worth that or more. Cant say that about any ricers. Or as my car-collecting uncle has always said, "The thinnest book in the world is the book of collectible Japanese automobiles" lol

Why do people insist on all the complexity of water pumper bikes etc. If you've owned one of those plastic enclosed sport bikes, you can't work on it yourself. It's terrible. I like the simplicity of my Harley, air cooled, single carb hanging right out there for easy maintenance when/if needed. And I wish all bikes still had kick starters. Trying to bump start a big bike sucks. I'll take my rock simple Triumph anyday. I like to go fast and R1 and CBR's are trick, but look how all the Japs are trying to build Harley and Ducati clones. They all have V twin cruisers and V twin sport bikes. A Buel is more a bad boy bike than a sport bike. They can't hang with the Duc's or Jap Duc wannabees. All bikes have their good points and bad. I just don't like the blatant copying the Japs do. At least Honda with the Valkerie and Yamaha with the V-max had the guts to make something more original.

That's exactly what the Japs are best at, copying. The tundra looks a hell of a lot like the F150. The big Lexus looks identical to the big Benz. They copy, they don't innovate. (Good thing they never copied Hiroshima, or Nagasaki)

I just thought I'd point out that in polite company, 'Jap' is considered to be a racial epithet, and that it's in extremely poor taste to joke about bombings that resulted in the deaths of hundreds of thousands of civilians.
If you can't make your point without resorting to name calling, perhaps you ought not to post at all.

Ahhhh Yes??? That moniker of Political Correctness rears its ugly head. From none other than our very own " left coast." Last time I checked this was a FORD owners site. If you feel the need to sing high praises to your rice-burning mini-truck, maybe you are the one that should move to another site????

Ford makes a great truck. I know because I own one. Ford make great cars too (mustang, crown vic, ect.). Great! I know folks here at F150 Online are proud Ford truck owners, but this kind of thing, in my opinion, goes beyond proud. Henry Ford, I don't know what era you are from, but the war is over. We don't need the propeganda anymore. We've all heard of "global economy". Well we need to have the imports here. We need to export. We don't need to worry so much about the commies, we need to keep up with the "global Jones'". There are many great products out there. Some imported, some made here at home. As far as autos go, there are lots of great vehicles from countries that are not the United States of America. There are many that are, like our Ford trucks.
I guess the way I see it is a product will speak for it's self.
Hey, it's OK to be a patriot. To some though, the way you've presented it, it can appear ignorant.
