I think your problem is NOT a 5.4L OR a TIRE issue. You don't list spec or mods so I assume you have an 'open' as opposed to a Limited Slip rear end, or maybe you just need to gain some weight.

Its limited slip, and even when I start in 2nd, it'll spin with any more than a feathers touch...

Gotta pass someone in a 35mph zone? Forget it! It'll grab first and spin forever...

also how do you start in second? It hased to be an automatic, do you manually down shift it?

Ok im busting a gut here, I have the same problem but im in a 4.2. Its the tires, mabey if I install a mouse cage i wont spin the tires in the rain anymore.

How do you start in second? Simply put the gear selector in "2"...yes its an auto.
