Post Hesitation on '97 4.2L

I have a '97 4.2L F-150 that has been hesitating lately. Usually under load(accelerating). I've ran the books trying to diagnose it. Checked injectors(by listening to them), seem ok. Checked the sensors. The coil's primary resistance is within range, the secondary (should be below 11.5Ohm) is 15Ohm. I have a K&N filter, wondering if the MAF sensor is clogged from the oil. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Just don't want to pay the dealer hard earned $ for a simple fix.

I cannot help, for mine does the same darn thing. It hesitates for about a second or so then speeds up. Seems wierd, I can't figure it out either.

It's fixed! Ended up changing out the spark plug wires. Hesitation is gone, and power seems to be restored. Of course, each individual truck has it's own personality, so it might not fix yours.

I was going to say, sounds like a simple tune-up would do the trick. Glad you got it fixed.
