Question Electric trailer brakes

I have a 97 F150 Super Cab 4X4 that came with
the 4 pin trailer wiring harness (standard).
I need to upgrade to the 7 pin. I have found
the battery charging, electric brake, and
backup light leads at the rear of the truck
(looked at a friends). The fuses wre already
installed in the power distribution box under
the hood. I have read the other posings and
I did not receive any plug in my glove box
as suggested. I believe I found the plug by
the gas petal which has a heavy gauge blue
wire and small white and black wire. Is this
the correct plug? Does the blue wire go
directly to the fuse? What are the black &
white wires for? I have ordered a control
module but it hasn't arrived yet!

Take this question over to the http://www.ford-diesel.com/ board and place it in the Towing and Hauling forum. Do a search first as it has probably already been answered. Mine came with the harness so I am not sure if I can help you but they sure will. You can get those harnesses BTW. Any camper dealer will have them for each controller to adapt to the ford plug. This truck does have factory tow package right?
