When to change brake fluid?
#31
Perhaps the word ur looking for is hygroscopic or hydrophilic. Hygroscopic is basically something that absorbs water, sort of like a sponge. Hydrophilic is something that is "water liking" and is miscible with water. Versus hydrophobic, water hating, like oil, immiscible. Things i learned in chemistry.

I have never even considered changing the fluid. My dads previous 87 F150 truck had 220K miles on the brake fluid, The one he has now 90 F150 has 160K My mothers 88 Lincoln 150K My brothers 91 Ranger 165K my previous truck 91 ranger 142K all never changed. We have changed brake pads but never rotors. How come some new model trucks go through rotors so quick. Ford must have down graded them significantly. My Rangers rotors were getting alittle warped when I traded it in. Probally something to do with towing 5-6,000 lbs with a 4cyl ranger.
