Post leaking brake fluid tank

I have a 1999 extended cab. The brake fluid tank is leaking. It stays wet on top of the tank, and around the bottom of the cap. I have taken it in and received a new cap. I took it in again and was told there was nothing wrong.
I just got back from the service department today and was told that it is normal for the new plastic tanks to leak.

Does anybody know if it normal? I think it stinks! It doesn't seem like it should be normal to have a brake fluid resevoir that leaks.

Thanks for any advice.

Hey TKN:
Welcome to the boards. Now that you mention it, the cap on mine always seems to be a little damp, too...........

I had this since new also. The dealer said "Someone just spilled some." I tried smoothing the brake reservoir, buying a new cap, and lowering the level; didn't help. When the cap is closed, you can grab it and move it slightly. This may sound strange, but I put a plastic home made shim between the inner cap top and the rubber seal. The cap is tighter and the leak is 90% better. I'm glad you guys mentioned this, because this has pissed me off from the beginning. I've never had a car with such a stupid brake cap problem. If anyone else has found a solution, PLEASE HELP US!!!

I went back to the location where I bought the truck. Had the service mgr take a look. They presured up the brake system for 15 minutes and it was leaking at the cap. Put a new one on and prssured again for 15 minutes and no leak.
That's the second new cap I've had. I'll see how long this one lasts.
