Hi. I just replaced the rotors on my 150 4x4. I used a Haynes manual and it said that the rotors would be able to be tapped off with a hammer. That didn't work so I tried a 3 jaw puller and broke the tool. Needless to say, I ended up having to take the entire hub assembly off, and used a press to remove them. It took 20 tons. My truck only has 38k on it. Has anyone else experienced this. Are these rotors supposed to be pressed on? They don't seem to have seated properly, because when I remove the wheels the rotors are loose on the hub. HELP! Thanks everyone.

I just replaced mine this summer, and they were pretty rusted on. I just kept getting a bigger and bigger hammer until they came off. I ruined mine, which I'm sure you did. The new ones I put on were loose, and that's probably why they come with retainer clips from the factory. If you haven't yet, put some anti-seize around the touching parts so that it will come off easier in the future. Hope this helps.
