Question Wheel replacement...problems?

Do you guys see any reason why I can't put my 15x8 5 lug wheels w/33's from my CJ on my 2000 4x4 ORP? I checked it out and it looks like they'll fit.....will I have any problems.

thanks

I don't think the 15" wheels will clear the calipers on the rear discs. Don't know for sure, but that's what I've heard.

Your CJ probably has the 5 on 5½ pattern. The F-150 has a 5 on 135mm. I do not think they will fit. The next hurdle is the wheel diameter. A 15 inch wheel will rub on the front calliper unless you have a large positive offset or very little back spacing.

I am with these guys. I personally haven't tried, but with my 01 4x4, I've been told many times that 15's are too small. They won't clear the calipers.

Talking Wjeel offset

Actaully JMC i think you mean he would need negative offset .Pos offsets put the wheel further into the wheel well neg bring it out

Richard D.

In fact that is the problem i currenly have with my new rims is I have a +14 offset and with my LT 285/75/16 tires i think they may end up hittine the upper ball joint once the tiere is mounte onto the rim.

Richard D,

Yes you are correct. Thanks for the heads up. I was on drugs when I typed positive.
