So will a 315-70-16 fit on a 1fiddy with the bars cranked?

Remember the key here is they will fit on stock wheels with stock offset. Most if not all aftermarket wheels with 35's will NOT fit. Any wheel with a width of 8" or more will not work with this setup.

I must say that it is pretty sweet to be able to fit 315/70R17 on the fx4 wheels by just cranking the T-bars and some trimming.

RebelYell,
When I got got 2000 ORP, 3.55 gears were the only rear end available w/ the ORP - actually the 3.73 could only be had w/ the 7700 GVWR package. The tach was listed as part of the ORP and 'Sport' packages.

Apparently Ford made minor changes in the last couple of years - I wish I could've got the 3.73 back then

I had a 2001 F150 with a set of 315's under it with NO LIFT. Adjuested the torsion bars and trimmed a small area on the back of the rear fender well. (Could not see it unless I told you where it was and you were looking for it) Only reason I had to trim that is b/c I was hauling a 20 ft trailor with a 4000lbs tractor to my home once a month and it rubbed very slightly because of the rear sagging. I have a few pics that I will try to post tonight or if I can't figure it out I will forward them to someone to post for me. My addy is kip@earthlink.net if someone wants me to send them to them to post.

I did forget that before the tires were installed I put about a 1/2-3/4 spacer between the frame and the bumper. You could not tell it was spaced (no gap) I did this to avoid any trimming (with I didn't have to do in the front) Don't know if or how bad it would have been if I would not have spaced it. Loved the look and will be trying to fit them under my 04 when it arrives.

I dont have an FX4, but my F150 4x4 Lariat came with factory 17" rims (not the FX4 rims). Will the 315/70/17s fit that rim also? If so, I think Im gona order a set very soon. Thanks.

Check out this site....this set up is 315's on stock 17's. I have these same wheels and was thinking the 305's instead. But this truck is great looking....He also has a 3" body lift.
