strange wheels

My new f150 has different wheels than my first one. These wheels trap water .If the water freezes in the winter the balance will be off. I guess every thing is designed in souther n california these days. Any practical wheels out there ?

I noticed that same thing today while using some chrome polish on my wheels. I had washed the truck early this morning around 7AM and did everything but the wheels. Anyway, came home with the wife around 4PM and decided to do the wheels. Imagine my surprise to find a small puddle of water in each one.

Of course, the Texas summer heat will evaporate that real quick, but I'd be a little more worried in colder weather.
