Help! 35x12.50x17 with 4" lift

Hey guys, Does anyone know if 35x12.50x17 tires on 17x10 wheels will fit on a 2003 f150 fx4x4 with a 4" suspension lift without rubbing. The guy at the tire store said they would not fit. Thanks in advance.

They will fit. The most you would have to do is either crank the torsion bars up a little and/or do a little trimming on the valance. I fit those tires with a 3" lift and cranking the torsion bars and doing a little trimming to keep them from rubing offroad. This is the reason you NEVER listen to people like that in tire stores on fitment. Most of the time they don't know a tire from their ***.

Yeah it will fit. But your will HAVE to crank your torsion bars and so some minor front valence trimming.

Check out my setup, the link is at the bottom.
Rancho 4" lift
35x12.50R18 tires
18x10 wheels

He won't HAVE to. There is alot of variablility in the production of these trucks. Just cause one person does doesn't mean another one with the same setup will have to.

It could also depend on what backspacing your wheels have whether you get rub or not. I just got some 315/70/17 BFGs that I'll put on after I get a 4" Rancho and 2" body lift. I think that lift with 9.5" wide wheels with 4.5" backspacing should fit just fine without any rubbing. Hopefully, I'll find out soon -

I have a 2001 screw and 4" Rancho Suspension lift and run 35"x12.5" BFG AT KO's on 16.5"x12"-4 5/8" backspaced Weld's.
No rub, bub

Ok, he will MOST LIKELY have to crank his torsion bars to get absolutely NO rub. And this will MOST LIKELY be no rub only on the street. If he gets off road he will MOST LIKELY rub.

I have talked to many guys who are running the 4" setup with 35's on wide wheels. I can only recall one maybe two of the guys didn't have to trim or crank their torsion bars.

I trimmed the front valence and cranked the bars to get the most clearance I could with the 4" setup.
