My brakes started moaning at low speed a couple of months ago and they just got worse all the time. I rotated the tires and checked the brake pads and the rear pads showed significant wear. I bought the truck used so I don't know the history of it. Its a 2001 Screw Lariat 4x4. I replaced the rear pads with Raybestos Ceramic pads and the braking is improved and the noise is gone!! They cost $70.00 at Pep Boys for both rear wheels and if this holds up I'm sold on them. The front pads still look good so I can only guess they were replaced before I bought the truck. I'm going to these pads on the front of the truck when they need it and they are going on my Yukon XL also. I'll report back in a few months and update.
