radial vs. non radial

Would non radial Mickey Thompson bear claw tires be unbearably ruff as a daily driver or even super swampers. Appreciate your feedback.

That would depend on how far you drive daily.

I've had some bias ply tires on my truck and never had any problems with them.
they were good for daily driving, but they wander alot when driving on uneven and rough roads. When mixed with radials
it was not too good.

My most reliable tires have been BFG all terrains

I think mikemike hit the nail dead on the head with that one. The biggest difference I have heard is the wander factor. The radial are steel belted vs. the nylon thread bias ply. The difference is in the sidewall strength the nylon flex much more than the radial o cause the wander effect. Also as mike said it is it is highly recommended that you never mix the two different styles.

I understand that alot of the drag race crowd sometimes mix radial and bias ply using radial on the front for steering and bias on the back for their forgiveness when going from spinning to hooked-up but this is only word of mouth and I can't really back that theory up with proof.

Thank you, so as far as riding ruffer on the highway it is not unbearable. I just like the look of the bias ply more than the radial in the Bear claw style. Plus I can get the tire 3" wider.

I ran a set of bias ply TSLs on my trail Ranger on the street for a couple weeks. They are VERY loud, they do like to wander but not as bad as some others I've run, and they will wear fast too. I put maybe 200 miles on them and they are already checkered. Bias plys are not usually known for their long life spans. If you don't wanna replace tires every 20-30k (thats going to be a generous amount of miles for the tires you're looking at) then I'd reccommend looking at radials.

Thank you I did not know that they would wear faster to. I think I will just go with the radials then.
