Question Will bigger tires effect ABS?

What's up guys and gals, I have a 1997 4.6L V8, and I have been thinking about replacing my tires before winter hits. I am looking at getting the Dunlop Radial Rover RV's and I want to buy them bigger than stock size. I was wondering if anyone has had these tires and what they thought.
And now comes the important question... If I put a bigger tire on my truck, will it mess up the ABS, or anything else that could cause damage to my truck??? ANy input is much appreciated and I have not been let down yet with this forum thanx for the help.

If you have the same size tire on all 4 wheels, no. If you mix and match, yes it can.

Depending on big you go, you can put extra stress/wear and tear on your front steering and suspension components.

Your speedometer and odometer will also both be affected.

Thanx 36Fan... Well I have the stock 265 size tires... at least that is what I think I have. I want to throw either a 30, or at least 285 on there. Do you think that this will hurt the axles and all that good stuff. And also do you know about how much of a difference will be added to the speed-o and the odometer? Thank you for all of your knowledge, you have helped me out a lot.

Umm......a 265 IS a 30" tall tire, or at least the metric equivalent. If you go to 285s (equivalent to a 33) then you're speedo and odometer will be off by about 3-4% ballpark. By going to the larger tires will not hurt your ABS, or at least going up to the size you're talking about. It will however wear out bearings, steering, brakes, etc a little faster on the front end. I ran 285s on my truck for over a year and I could tell that it had worn out that stuff faster than when I had smaller tires on it.
