Post New tires

Getting ready to purchase new tires for 97 F-150 XLT extended cab 2WD 4.6l. Used mainly on road. Factory Generals have been terrible, especially at highway speeds. Current tires are 235/70R/16 104 speed rating. Can I go to 75R without any adjustments. Looking for brand/model recommendations from other owners.

going to 75r will affect speedo and performance need to keep tire height the same as stock. Change tranny gear if you change tire diameter I have 255/70/16 on my truck performance ok. lower profile tires perform better on road, taller tires better off road. I would go to a wider tire for sure.

I went to PEP boys for my tires. LT265/75 16 I still leave most people at the lights and have seen no change in performance. Just I can drive in the wet and snow now! The stock goodyears were junk tires from new. I run 42lbs front and 45lbs rear. If you just drive to work and "normal" stuff then you will be happy.
