I originally posted this question in the brake section of the board, but got not hits. Nevertheless, for those of you that have installed larger tires on your trucks than the factory standard tires, did you upgrade your brake system? If so, what did you use...individual parts, a kit, brand name, cost, etc? Is there a simple rotor and brake caliber set out there to upgrade the brake system with, without spending a lot of $ and that the average guy can install at home without going to a brake shop? Thanks in advance for your help.

 

I doubt many people do brake upgrades at all. I don't drive agressively (well on rare ocassions I will) and stay alert to try and avoid situations where I'd have to slam on the brakes. I know my current tires have increased the braking distance over stock, but by how much I don't know. I still feel comfortable with them, so I'l leave them be.
