Life of stock tires

Dewayne,
Good choice on the AT/S's.
My '99 (5.4L, 3.73 LSD) w/ ORP came with the 265/70R17 Wrangler AT/S's. As far as I can tell, these are great tires in wet, dry, and off-road, haven't been in snow yet. I've only got 6500 miles on them, but they don't appear to be wearing overly quickly. I keep them at what the door reccommends - 35psi front/rear. They really seem to stick during quick starts.

I hate to hear you guys are getting 50K on these POS Generals. I nearly knifed them when the truck showed up with them. I paid $295 upgrade for these tires that only cost $250/set new. What a rip-off ! !
Anyway I was hoping they would be bald at 20K and my wife would let me get some Michelin's

To date I have 82,200 miles on the original Goodyear Wrangler RT/S radials. Still plenty of tread left. I believe I can get 100,000 miles out of these tires.
I do the five-tire rotation every 5,000 miles and run Ford's recommended pressures.
Off the subject: Only two more weeks and Winston Cup Racing returns for the Daytona 500!

I have 41,000 miles on 98 F-150 Ext. Cab.
I have Firestone Wilderness HT size P235/70R16. I hate these tires. They suck bad. I am thinking of replacing them with Dunlop Rover tires. They are manufactured w/ same size as OEM tires that came on my truck. I'll write you and let you know what I think.

I replaced the tires on my prior f150 (1997) at 30,000. The tire was the Wilderness H/T. I am not a big fan of the tire but the dealer prorated the cost based on the mileage I got out of the tires and replaced all 4 tires with road hazard for $192.00 out the door. It was too good of a deal! As long as the tires have even wear they can replace them.

Hey guys (& gals),
how many of you rotate your tires at regular intervals?
I have 2 years and 35,000km (~22K miles) on my P255/16 Goodyear RT/S's and they hardly show any wear. I rotate them according to Ford's recommendation, and hope to get 80K km (50K miles) or more with them. I run them at 32 to 35 psi.
I find these are great tires, but a tad small. When the time comes, I'll likely upgrade to BFG AT T/A's. Probably 285's.
